Dr Anna Zajaczkowska

Anna graduated from the Medical University of Bialystok, Poland in 1998. During her internship she practiced at a maxillofacial department, helping broaden her knowledge and experience within this field. After 5 years she moved to Warsaw, Poland where she provided private dental care, always looking for challenges and an innovative approach.

In 2007 Anna moved to the UK and joined the Filey Dental Practice in North Yorkshire, where she gained vast experience within an NHS practice. In 2011 she completed her Diploma in Restorative Dentistry FGDP (UK) at MANDEC in Manchester. After a few years as an associate dentist in Sussex, Anna decided to open her own practice in Walberton.

After 9 years she moved her surgery to a fully refurbished state-of-the-art premises in Barnham. Anna recently completed her Postgraduate Diploma In Dental Implant Reconstructive Surgery with Brighton and Sussex Medical School BSMS. She maintains a keen interest in implant dentistry, regularly attending conferences and completing multiple courses, national and international, since her formal qualification. Anna's dedication to advancing her skills led her to the decision to commence her MSc in Implant Dentistry at Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid (URJC) in December 2025.

In her spare time, Anna enjoys travelling, cooking, cycling and live music. She is currently training towards a charity bike ride organised by Straumann Group and The Dentaid Dental Charity.

Dr Hiba Alobaide

Dr Hiba Alobaide graduated from Jagiellonian University in Krakow and began her dental career in Sweden before moving to the UK in 2018. With a strong passion for dentistry, she is dedicated to providing high-quality care tailored to each patient's needs. Skilled in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, Dr Hiba also has expertise in clear aligners and is currently undertaking advanced training in implant placement.

She takes a gentle and empathetic approach, particularly when treating patients with dental phobia, ensuring they feel at ease throughout their dental journey. Committed to continuous learning, Dr Hiba regularly attends courses to stay up to date with the latest advancements in dentistry, integrating new techniques and innovations to enhance patient care.

Outside of dentistry, she enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures, believing that passion gives us purpose and travel offers invaluable lessons that shape our perspectives.

Dr Andrea Kadar is a passionate and dedicated dentist committed to providing exceptional dental care to her patients. With a blend of expertise, compassion, and personalised attention, she strives to create healthy and beautiful smiles that positively impact her patients lives. Dr Andrea earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from UNIVERSITY OF Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology 'G.E Palade of Targu Mures-Transilvania 2005-2008. Following dental school, Dr Andrea further honing her skills in:

Dr Sylvia Krafft

Sylvia graduated as a dentist from the University (Zahnklinik Köln) in Germany in 2002 and is also a qualified dental technician.
She began her career in general practice in Germany before moving to the United States, where she volunteered at a dental charity hospital in Miami, an experience that deepened her commitment to ethical, patient-focused care. She relocated to the UK in 2009.

With over 15 years of experience in both NHS and private dentistry in the UK, Sylvia offers a compassionate, minimally invasive approach tailored to each patient. She is particularly focused on prevention and patient education to support long- term oral health. Sylvia is known for her friendly, professional manner and her ability to put even the most anxious patients at ease. She creates a welcoming, supportive environment for patients of all ages.

Now living in East Sussex with her two children, Sylvia loves the area and is proud to be part of a dental practice that values family-oriented and ethical care.

Dr Maher Malki

Endodontist

Dr Maher Malki is an experienced dentist with over 13 years of specialised experience in Endodontics. After earning his dental degree in 2008, Dr Malki pursued a full time three-year master's program in Endodontics at Saint-Joseph University. He also earned a diploma in Microendodontics from the University of Valencia in 2016. With a record of over 10,000 root canal treatments, Dr Malki is recognised as a senior full member of both the Italian Academy of Endodontics and the Italian Society of Endodontics.

Dedicated to excellence in endodontic care, Dr Malki exclusively utilises advanced dental microscopy and focuses his clinical practice on simple and complex root canal treatments, retreatments, and post-endodontic buildups.

Dr Jagtar Dhanda

Implantologist

Jag is a UK trained Consultant Maxillofacial / Head & Neck Surgeon and Clinical Reader with a specialist interest in head and neck cancer and dental implants.

He is the only UK surgeon to have obtained the college, speciality and faculty research fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and he is the programme director for the MSc programme in Implant Dentistry at the University of Brighton Medical School.

Jag started his dental implant training in 2002 and has subsequently had further exposure to surgical aspects of implant dentistry during his higher surgical training. This training includes the placement of implants in the entire facial skeleton as well as dental implants and the placement of implants in facial deformity, traumatic facial injury and cancer reconstruction.

He can offer both surgical and restorative aspects of treatment from single teeth, to multiple teeth and bridges, as well as full arch reconstruction and implant retained dentures. He is also able to offer all bone grafting procedures including bone regeneration, sinus lifts and zygomatic implants. With 23 years of training he is one of the highest trained dental implant surgeons in the UK.

He hosts numerous courses including virtual surgical planning, cadaveric perforator dissection and advanced microvascular surgery for higher surgical trainees in plastic surgery and maxillofacial/head neck surgery.

Katie-May Ellis

Hygienist/Therapist Registered DHDT

Katie is our resident dually-qualified Hygienist/Therapist, she began her dental career in 2005 qualifying as a dental nurse in the British Army. In 2014 she began training at Kings College in London, Graduating from the Royal College of Surgeons.

Whilst Katie provides comprehensive hygiene care to our patients, she also carries out additional treatments under her role as a therapist. The treatments include:

  • Children’s dentistry including fissure sealants, Hall crowns, fillings and extractions.
  • Recording radiographs (x-rays), photographs and impressions.
  • Adult dentistry, placing restorations and temporally re cementing crowns.
  • Working with your dentist during the tooth whitening process.
  • Providing preventive oral care to reduce the risk of disease including smoking cessation.
  • Carrying out oral cancer screening.

Katie believes in a patient centred and individualistic approach to dental hygiene and has a special interest in treating patients with dental phobia and also sees patients under direct access.

On a personal note, Katie is an enthusiastic baker and amateur gardener, who, enjoys her time off walking in the West Sussex countryside with her family.

Cindy Peters

Hygienist/Therapist Registered DHDT

Cindy has worked within the dental profession for over 20 years as both a dental hygienist/therapist and dental nurse.

Since qualifying with a first class honors degree at Portsmouth University, she continues to keep up-to-date with the modern advances of dentistry by attending courses and taking part in online study. This helps her provide both contemporary and effective periodontal advice and treatment at the practice.

Working across a broad spectrum of dental fields has given Cindy valuable experience and knowledge, to which she can apply in her current daily role as a dental hygienist.

Cindy has a friendly manner and calm approach which helps patients feel at ease and comfortable during their treatment.

In her spare time, Cindy enjoys travelling, languages, and creative hobbies, such as art and photography, as well as spending time with her family, friends and cat Luna.

Charlotte Griffiths

Dental Nurse / Senior Receptionist / Trainee Practice Manager

Charlotte joined the practice in 2019 and qualified as a dental nurse in 2021. Since then, she has grown into the role of Senior Receptionist where she supports both our clinical and front-of-house teams. As well as assisting in surgery, she also takes on various management responsibilities to help ensure the smooth running of the practice. She enjoys working closely with patients and being part of a team that is dedicated to providing high- quality care in a welcoming environment.

Outside of work Charlotte has recently become a mum which has been an exciting new chapter in her life. She has a passion for cooking, unwinding by reading a good book and spending quality time with family and friends.

Barbara Kosmalska

Dental Receptionist

Barbara joined the practice in February 2025, bringing with her over a decade of experience in dentistry. Her journey at Walberton Dental Surgery actually began back in 2012, when she started working here as a trainee dental nurse. She went on to gain her dental nursing qualification in 2014 and has since continued to grow professionally, eventually transitioning into a role as a dental receptionist, where she combines her clinical knowledge with strong administrative skills.

Barbara brings a cheerful, welcoming presence to the practice, helping ensure that everyone feels comfortable and cared for. She takes great pride in assisting with appointment enquiries and serving as a reassuring first point of contact for patients.

Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time in her garden-whether she's tending to her plants or relaxing with a good book and a cup of coffee. She is also a proud mum of two wonderful children, who keep her smiling every day.

Hanna Bochenko

Head Dental Nurse

Hanna joined Walberton Dental Surgery Ltd in October 2021 and qualified as a dental nurse in July 2023. She now proudly serves as our Head Dental Nurse, working closely with all clinicians and supporting the smooth running of the practice. Hanna is a caring, dedicated professional who fits in naturally with our friendly team. She is passionate about all aspects of dentistry and committed to ongoing professional development. She has also expanded her skills by earning a certificate in Dental Radiography.

Outside of work, Hanna enjoys gardening, cooking, and reading, and cherishes spending time with her family.

Lena joined the team as a trainee dental nurse on March 2025. Prior to pursuing dental nursing, Lena studied Art and Design, a background that has refined her attention to detail and creativity-skills she finds valuable in her current role. In her free time, she enjoys reading, exploring various forms of art, and photography, pursuits that further enhance her appreciation for precision and aesthetics.

Lena is focused on advancing her qualifications and delivering the highest standard of care to patients, ensuring each visit is conducted with professionalism and empathy.
