Dr Anna Zajaczkowska

Anna graduated from the Medical University of Bialystok, Poland in 1998. During her internship she practiced at a maxillofacial department, helping broaden her knowledge and experience within this field.  After 5 years she moved to Warsaw, Poland where she provided private dental care, always looking for challenges and an innovative approach. 

In 2007 Anna moved to the UK and joined the Filey Dental Practice in North Yorkshire, where she gained vast experience within an NHS practice.  In 2011 she completed her Diploma in Restorative Dentistry FGDP UK at MANDEC in Manchester. After a few years as an associate dentist in Sussex, Anna decided to follow her dream and start her own practice in Walberton. 

In her spare time, Anna is a keen free diver with NoTanx Apnea club and plays Roller Derby with the Brighton Rockers. She also enjoys travelling, cycling, cooking and music.

Dr Jagtar Dhanda

Implantologist

Jag is a UK trained Consultant Maxillofacial / Head & Neck Surgeon and Clinical Reader with a specialist interest in head and neck cancer and dental implants.

He is the only UK surgeon to have obtained the college, speciality and faculty research fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and he is the programme director for the MSc programme in Implant Dentistry at the University of Brighton Medical School.

 Jag started his dental implant training in 2002 and has subsequently had further exposure to surgical aspects of implant dentistry during his higher surgical training. This training includes the placement of implants in the entire facial skeleton as well as dental implants and the placement of implants in facial deformity, traumatic facial injury and cancer reconstruction.  

He can offer both surgical and restorative aspects of treatment from single teeth, to multiple teeth and bridges, as well as full arch reconstruction and implant retained dentures. He is also able to offer all bone grafting procedures including bone regeneration, sinus lifts and zygomatic implants. With 23 years of training he is one of the highest trained dental implant surgeons in the UK.

He hosts numerous courses including virtual surgical planning, cadaveric perforator dissection and advanced microvascular surgery for higher surgical trainees in plastic surgery and maxillofacial/head neck surgery. 

Dr Karim Jaafary

Endodontist
BDS, MSc (Endodontics) (London)

After spending a few years in general practice, Karim returned to Guy’s hospital and completed his Master Degree in Endodontics. Since 2007 Karim’s practice has been limited to root canal treatment. Karim believes creating a relaxing environment for his patients is an essential factor in contributing to the best possible treatment outcome.

Karim usually sees his patients for an initial consultation visit in which he discusses various aspects of the treatment. However, this consultation appointment can be combined with treatment if it is more convenient to the patient.

Karim is the organiser of the Endodontic Study Club in Tunbridge Wells and he has both lectured and run hands on courses for dentists on the subject of root canal treatment.

Katie-May Ellis

Hygienist/Therapist Registered DHDT

Katie is our resident dually-qualified Hygienist/Therapist, she began her dental career in 2005 qualifying as a dental nurse in the British Army. In 2014 she began training at Kings College in London, Graduating from the Royal College of Surgeons.

Whilst Katie provides comprehensive hygiene care to our patients, she also carries out additional treatments under her role as a therapist.  The treatments include:

  • Children’s dentistry including fissure sealants, Hall crowns, fillings and extractions.
  • Recording radiographs (x-rays), photographs and impressions.
  • Adult dentistry, placing restorations and temporally re cementing crowns.
  • Working with your dentist during the tooth whitening process.
  • Providing preventive oral care to reduce the risk of disease including smoking cessation.
  • Carrying out oral cancer screening.

Katie believes in a patient centred and individualistic approach to dental hygiene and has a special interest in treating patients with dental phobia and also sees patients under direct access.

On a personal note, Katie is an enthusiastic baker and amateur gardener, who, enjoys her time off walking in the West Sussex countryside with her family.

Cindy Peters

Hygienist/Therapist Registered DHDT

Cindy has worked within the dental profession for over 20 years as both a dental hygienist/therapist and dental nurse.  

Since qualifying with a first class honors degree at Portsmouth University, she continues to keep up-to-date with the modern advances of dentistry by attending courses and taking part in online study.  This helps her provide both contemporary and effective periodontal advice and treatment at the practice.

Working across a broad spectrum of dental fields has given Cindy valuable experience and knowledge, to which she can apply in her current daily role as a dental hygienist. 

Cindy has a friendly manner and calm approach which helps patients feel at ease and comfortable during their treatment.  

In her spare time, Cindy enjoys travelling, languages, and creative hobbies, such as art and photography, as well as spending time with her family, friends and cat Luna.

Charlotte Griffiths

Dental Nurse

Charlotte joined Walberton Dental Surgery in August 2019 and qualified as a dental nurse in July 2021. Charlotte works alongside our clinicians and works on reception. She enjoys working at Walberton and fits in very well with our friendly team. Her calming nature has made many patients feel at ease whilst being treated at the practice. Charlotte has a keen interest to further extend her nursing qualification in the future. 
 
In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family.

Hanna Bochenko

Dental Nurse

Hanna joined Walberton Dental Surgery Ltd in October 2021 and qualified as a dental nurse in July 2023. Hanna enjoys working at Walberton and works alongside all our clinicians. Hanna is caring and fits in very well with our friendly team. She is very passionate about dentistry. In the future Hanna would like to extend her nursing career in Radiography and Maxillofacial Surgery.
 
Outside of work Hanna enjoys gardening, cooking, and reading as well as spending time with her family.
