PRACTICE MEMBERSHIP PLAN
Our NHS Dental Services contract ended 31st March 2023.
Please read on for further information about our new Practice Membership Plan
With much regret, as of 1st April 2023 we will no longer be able to offer NHS dental care. For many years we have proudly provided dental care under the umbrella of the NHS. However, a chronic lack of investment in NHS dentistry by successive governments coupled with rapidly rising costs means we no longer feel that we can provide the level of dental care you have come to expect.
When I took over the surgery 8 years ago, I never imagined that things in the world would change so much. One of the many difficulties affecting the practice directly is of dental recruitment. As you may know I have been working without an associate dentist since February 2022, and despite my best efforts, I have been unable to find a replacement, therefore there will be inevitable changes to the surgery.
With a lot of hesitance and with a heavy heart we will be moving from offering NHS dental services to offering purely private dental care. I would like to assure you that I am fully and painfully aware about economic situation at the moment and that we all struggle. Because of that I have decided to introduce our Practice Membership Plan to offer assistance with costs of your dental care.
Our Practice Membership Plan helps you keep your teeth and gums healthy by allowing you to budget monthly for your dental care so you can attend on a basis that’s right for you. Through regular examinations and hygiene appointments, we can spot issues early, potentially saving you from more invasive treatment in the future.
I would like to thank you for your loyalty to our practice.
