What is a Dental Implant?
A dental implant is a small, precision-engineered post made from high quality biocompatible materials that replaces the root of a missing tooth. Once placed into the upper or lower jaw, the implant gradually bonds with the natural bone over time, creating a strong and stable foundation for a new tooth.
After this healing phase, a carefully crafted crown or bridge is secured to the implant, depending on how many teeth need to be replaced. For a single missing tooth, a custom crown is designed to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth. For several missing teeth, a dental bridge can be supported by two or more implants. If all teeth are missing, a full arch restoration can be created using as few as four to six implants, meaning you do not need one implant per tooth.
Dental implants are versatile and can be used to replace individual teeth, multiple teeth, a full arch, or to stabilise a removable denture for improved comfort and confidence.
